Sigh.

Well, it’s been a week. Some low-lights: allergies, a death in the family, and the unceremonious loss of the diamond from my wedding ring… And rain.  Lots of rain.

If it weren’t for having to go to work today, I would promptly crawl back in bed and read Twilight until tomorrow. That’s right: I’ve been on a vampire novel jag lately, and having polished off all the Sookie Stackhouse novels I had on hand, turned to the juggernaut Twilight for entertainment. It’s a little bit of a soap opera so far, but I can’t seem to tear myself away!

Very little knitting is going on this week. I finished some socks, so that is progress. And I’m trying to do a repeat on my Hemlock Ring blanket every day. But I feel uninspired to knit, if I’m being brutally honest. These moods hit me from time to time, and always pass in short order. So I will sit back, relax, possibly catch up on housework, and read vampire novels until my knitting motivation returns.

  1. I’m so sorry for your loss. Sometimes you need to take a day to just curl up in bed and feed sadness. Maybe a mental health day is in order.

  2. I think we all loose our knitting “mojo” from time to time. I think it is a good thing really. It inspires us to do so much more later. Take it easy, hope the rain washes away some of the allergies for you.

  3. There seems to be a lot of that same vibe going around. I’m so sorry for the death in the family, and it’s also jarring when something like your wedding ring is not as it should be! Hugs and here’s to sunshine!

  4. Sorry about your week; all those things together just drag you down. Twilight will help. I zoomed through it, rolling my eyes the whole time, but I just couldn’t stop myself! Haven’t felt compelled to pick up the next one, though.

  5. Awww…sorry to hear you are going through a sad patch. Sometimes we just have to hang in and wait for things to turn around. And they always do – eventually!

  6. sorry to hear you’re a bit low. I think your approach is good. Just ride it out, with whatever gets you through.
