Okay, enough whining around here.

There is plenty to be grateful for these days.

My mom is here for the rest of the month, to help take care of her baby while I takes care of my new baby.

I have an awesome partner who holds me when I cry about my lobster claw hands, and who teased me about looking like an anaconda that swallowed a beach ball when I came downstairs this morning and proudly exclaimed “Look!  I can zip up my robe!”

Cats who like to snuggle up on my lap or under the covers during an afternoon nap.

Afternoon naps.  Ahhh, already looking forward to mine today.

A good friend who invited me out to drink hot chocolate, talk girl talk, and knit on a weeknight.

Being able to knit again!

Having hope and looking forward to the future as a mother.

My warm, cozy house filled with yarn and food and books and people I love.

What are you grateful for today?

  1. Excellent attitude 🙂 I am grateful for my family and friends, and ideas. I feel like I have had a lot of ideas lately – crafty / personal / whatever – and I think they are really good. So, those ideas are motivating me and I am glad because I can always use a swift kick in the rear to get going on some projects 🙂

  2. I am grateful for my job, my pug, music, my family, and the wonderful community of knitters that I have found over the past couple of years.

  3. i’m grateful that I’m still on leave from work for a few more days and am coping ok with the heat at the moment. ie that means I am still able to knit despite it being so hot!

Not long to go now for you I hope!

  4. Great picture. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me you made that cardi.

Today I am grateful for good friends and ghirideli chocolate squares that are filled with Carmel!

Glad you are knitting again! Lobster claw-hands and all!

  5. I’m most thankful that I have a roof over my head, food on my table, faithful companions (my furbabies), a husband who loves me despite the fact that I often drive him crazy and very good friends like you. 😀

I can’t wait to hear if my dreams about the sex of your baby are correct. 😉

  6. Grateful for my family and friends. And knitting and music. Bliss!

I love that picture of you. I have a similar one of me. Everything looks pretty normal, except the big bump! My friend likened the look to “bump on a popsicle stick.”

  7. I’m grateful for my husband who has always let me be me. For pitching in without having to ask him, whether it’s to clean or to cook dinner or just a hug when he knows I need it, whether I know it or not.
I’m grateful for my son who’s (not always) mature and responsible and who has realized it’s ok to work sort of hard and get sort of good grades in college.
I’m grateful for the roof over my head and the extras we have acquired through hard work over many years.

  8. So grateful for my family and friends and their safety and happiness. Grateful for my abilities to nuture through laughter and food. Grateful for possibility, the possibility that it will all work out, that as good as it is, it can get better, the possibility of every new day and encounter.
