My knitting olympics project is coming right along. I decided on something very simple for my mother-in-law who requested an earflap hat on her recent visit. She had told me she wanted something brown or green, but as soon as she saw this yarn she changed her tune. Apparently berry is one of her colors!
I cast on during the opening ceremonies on Friday night, knitting a few rows before promptly falling asleep on the couch. I saw the beginning and the end, but sleep deprivation is a mighty force to be reckoned with, and even orcas couldn’t wake me. And I love whales. Anyway, I’m using the Happy Hour pattern from Pints & Purls. I started with a garter stitch brim and will pick up stitches for the earflaps later, much like I did for this hat.
How is your competitive knitting coming along?
